Recycled Costumes

We have a new station! Recycled clothing. Interestingly the boys loved this station making karate suits and pirate costumes. Awesome team work, creativity, problem solving, and end results boys! Tu meke learning.

Capital letters

 Cody has been matching lower and upper case letters.

 These children have been writing their friends names with capital letters on the balloons.

Challenging Ourselves at Maths Time

Sam and Monty has been practising writing numbers up to 100.

 Isabella has been practising writing her numbers up to 20 on the i-pad.

Our Inclined Planes

We have been learning about simple machines that help us to invent new kinds of technology. Sebbie's Dad came in to help us make our own inclined planes. These are made out of wood. They are for us to lie on the floor to do our research and investigating. It helps to keep the book up so we can work more easily.

Drama of 'The Three Little Pigs'

We have been having a lot of fun learning drama techniques to retell traditional tales.  We have discussed body position when on stage, using our voice to sound scary, facial expressions and body movements.

Butterfly Hatching

Our caterpillars have been transforming into butterflys for a while now. Today they were released into the wild. Sam helped this little fellow into a tree after it landed on him in the courtyard. Good on you Sam

Measuring on our own

Our investigation into understanding measurement continues. Check out the different ways we have helped each other with measurement using different things in different ways. This type of learning alongside intensive teaching has lifted our test scores really high in a very short amount of time. Well done Pod 2. Great independent learning.
