We have been exploring our feelings as part of our Keeping Ourselves Safe programme. Here are some examples of describing what angry is like.

Big Book Creation
WOW!
Learning at its best!
Blaise, Chloe, and Ania Kanu worked for two days creating their own big book. They wrote a beautiful story with big pictures and bright colours. They were so proud of their learning I took the girls over to the new entrant classroom so they could read their story to the children.
Great work girls.
We are very proud of you and your learning.

Our writing challenge
As part of our writing programme today's challenge was to write a story that was longer than you! Well done to everyone for working hard and having with writing. It was great to see the change from the initial "I can't do that!" to the realisation they could and did. Fantastic.

Spy Camera
One of our Pataitai Stations is Spy Camera. Using a digital camera the children photograph others doing good learning. The great fun is sneaking around spying on others.

Certificates
Look at all of these hard workers. They have been awarded a certificate for their focus on learning, respect for their own work as well as others and for outstanding achievements. Well done.

Wanaka Primary School Song
A group of musical enthusiasts got together with Gilly to perform our school song for our pod. They were very brave sharing their new learning in front of 50 other children. Next week our ukulele band starts up as well as our pod choir. We have campfire singing with Gilly every Tuesday, singing together as a community of learners enjoying music.

Construction
These amazing learners have been experimental with their designs using lego and straws to make unique and creative machines. Some fly, some roll, some are wide and some are huge. They can all explain in great detail their learning and how each part works. They are now sharing ideas to extend each others thinking and challenge their designs even further. During sharing time we can compare their finished products to talk about basic elements of form and function.

Art or Maths???
These super duper learners cut straws to different lengths and put them together to make a tree shape on a card. They wrote a message inside to give to their Valentine.
Awesome measuring skills girls.
