Igloo!
Investigating freezing temperatures is never a worry for our students! One freezing cold morning these amazing learners explored how to make an igloo with ice. Angus discovered through exploration that if you melt two ends of the ice then hold them together they freeze together again making them stick. Once he had discovered this he was able to construct an igloo with Joe and Eli. What super sleuths you are boys!

Land Formations
The boys have been creating their own land formation's investigating pathways for rivers and mountain creations.
The most impressive part is how well the boys cleaned up the sand after they had finished. Well done. Lots of respect for our learning space and other learning.

Twinkle Twinkle
I wonder what other songs we can create using numbers to read music.

Games
Playing games helps us to learn so many skills. Social interactions, turn taking, follow rules, communicating, sharing, and in this game logic and patterns. Eli and Finley are demonstrating this beautifully at the Game Station.

Techy Leaders
Lucas and Eli are two of our leaders in the pod who have been trained in using the interactive whiteboard and the Steps spelling program. Lucas has been training William to use it today. They have had so much fun learning new sounds and words. Great collaboration work and leadership skills. (Apologies for not being able to see what is happening on the whiteboard screen - camera didn't pick it up)

Construction
These amazing learners have been experimental with their designs using lego and straws to make unique and creative machines. Some fly, some roll, some are wide and some are huge. They can all explain in great detail their learning and how each part works. They are now sharing ideas to extend each others thinking and challenge their designs even further. During sharing time we can compare their finished products to talk about basic elements of form and function.
