William has been working hard to improve his letter formation. The whiteboard gives a different perspective from a writing book to learn through exploration and practice. Great learning William. We can see how hard you are working.

The Tube

The tube is a special place we can sit to be on our own or relax and enjoy a story with a friend. We can still see what is happening but feel like we are in our own place. Great reading practice William and Amelia.

Techy Leaders

Lucas and Eli are two of our leaders in the pod who have been trained in using the interactive whiteboard and the Steps spelling program. Lucas has been training William to use it today. They have had so much fun learning new sounds and words. Great collaboration work and leadership skills. (Apologies for not being able to see what is happening on the whiteboard screen - camera didn't pick it up)

Architects in Action

We have some budding architects and builders in Pod 2.  As an extension to their construction work they decided to draw plans and work as a team to build their constructions.  Amazing thinking and teamwork - wow!

Brainstorming our ideas about birds

We are so impressed with the way the children could record their ideas about birds.  Some children drew a diagram, some wrote words or pictures.  Other children made a structure of a bird . WOW!!! Amazing learning guys.  Now we can move on to investigating, sorting, classifying and questioning.

Measuring on our own

Our investigation into understanding measurement continues. Check out the different ways we have helped each other with measurement using different things in different ways. This type of learning alongside intensive teaching has lifted our test scores really high in a very short amount of time. Well done Pod 2. Great independent learning.

Buddy Reading
